Starting Jan 1, 2026 Circular Materials (the primary Producer Responsibility Organization (PRO) in Ontario, will not allow blended collection (from eligible / non-eligible sources). 

Not all Ontario municipalities collect recyclables from non-eligible sources, as this is not mandated under the Municipal Act. The chart below shows municipalities that are currently providing recycling collection and are making decisions.
