The Ontario Business Improvement Area Association (OBIAA) acknowledges that our office, located in Lincoln, Niagara, is situated on the traditional territory of the Haudenosaunee, Anishinaabe, and Chonnonton (Neutral) peoples, within the land protected by the Dish With One Spoon Wampum agreement. This treaty upholds a commitment to peace, sharing, and mutual care for the land and its resources.

As a provincial organization serving Business Improvement Areas and Municipalities across Ontario, we recognize that our work takes place on the traditional territories of many diverse Indigenous Nations. We honour the enduring presence, knowledge, and stewardship of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples, and commit to advancing reconciliation by supporting inclusive, resilient, and vibrant Main Streets that respect and reflect the histories and contributions of Indigenous communities.
