This document is provided as a guide to BIAs in Ontario for the Accessibility for
Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA).
This handbook was produced by the Ontario BIA Association’s “Go ON:
Building Accessible Communities” Project, an EnAbling Change Project with the
Government of Ontario.
The Handbook is not legal advice and should be read together with the official
language of the AODA and its regulations. If there is any conflict between this
