Monday, April 3, 2017 – The “Red and White Gala” was held Monday, April 3, 2017 to celebrate the best of the best. Seven (7) BIAs and one (1) special person were recognized at the 2017 National BIA Conference held at the Westin Prince Hotel Toronto. The theme for the conference was Measuring our ROI.
Judges from around the province reviewed the submissions to determine who would ‘measure up’ for this year’s awards. Each year, the judges review the submissions on their Innovation, Replication, Representation and Outcome. The outcomes of these annual awards are indeed far reaching as BIAs from around the province and country learn and are encouraged to implement some of these innovative ideas into their own communities.
From a possible 11 awards, under the four (4) categories, eight (8) awards were presented. Award Categories are:

Alex Ling – Lifetime Achievement Award: Recognizes individuals who selflessly contribute to strengthening and promoting BIAs
