Helping Small Businesses Grow by Adopting Digital Tools & Technologies

Digital Service Squad Grants

The Application Portal for Digital Main Street’s Digital Service Squad Grant Program is now closed and the grant funds have been fully exhausted

BIAs, municipalities, Chambers of Commerce, Boards of Trade, and Small Enterprise Business Centres across the province now have their own local Digital Service Squad to service their brick-and-mortar small businesses.

As part of the Digital Main Street Ontario Grants Program, grants are provided to municipalities, BIAs, Chambers, Boards of Trade, Small Business Enterprise Centres or a consortium of groups to establish teams of digital technology specialists at no cost to small businesses. These Digital Service Squads visit brick-and-mortar small businesses – live or virtually – to coach them through personalized, one-on-one assistance designed to help small business owners navigate new digital tools and techniques and maximize their return on investment.

Digital Service Squad members across Ontario work with brick-and-mortar small businesses to help them complete an online assessment and introduce them to online training modules designed to build their knowledge and skills. This one-on-one DSS assistance includes support for basic website set-up, Google Business Profiles, 360º photos, collaborating with the ShopHERE program to assist with digital storefront set-up and e-commerce, creation or enhancement of social media presence, and much more.
